Our apartment is located a few metres from Piazza San Francesco, in the heart of Palermo. It is very quiet and bright, located on two floors and offers comforts that you can rarely find in a rented place: two terraces (one with barbecue), wireless internet access, super-equipped kitchen, fireplace and heating with radiators, air conditioning. There are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other one with two single beds that on request can be joined to form 1 double bed. The sofa bed in the upstairs living room can comfortably accomodate up to 2 addittional guests. Also, there are 2 fully equipped bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi bathtub, one with a shower. The building has a modern lift.
Our apartment is located in the heart of the historical Kalsa neighborhood, just few stones away from the Foro Italico seafront meadows, the "Cala" marina with its cafes and ice-cream parlours, and close to many historical monuments and cultural sites as Palazzo Steri, the Abbatellis Museum and many others. Just outside the front door of the building you can mingle in the heart of the oldest Palermo district: alleys and squares, noble monuments and churches, clashing in harmony and contradiction with local market stalls, with their colors, aromas and flavors, including some of the city's best street food, and finally the city cultural soul of museums and theaters. Finally, at walking distance from our apartment you can find several restaurants, and find yourself at ease both if you are looking for gourmet dining and for a typical local "trattoria".
Also, the apartment is at only 15 minutes walking distance from the main railway station, also bus stop for the airport shuttle.

Very well organised and friendly company.
All the information was clear and there is a 'human' feel to the company.
I like the sense that there are real people at the helm, with the meet and greet, taxi service and e-mail trail being open and professional.
The apartment was lovely!!! We hope to return!
The apartment is fabolous, everything was organised in a great way, friendly and professionally. Location is great, a wonderful experience
So far we're very satisfied! The best webside we've found in Sicily, and a wide offer of good apartments to rent. We like the helpful and welcoming staff.
In Palermo there is too much to see and do in one visit, so planning is very important
VisitPalermo is a truly wonderful organisation. My family and I visited Palermo (for the second time) during 2016, and although we are not strangers to the city or to Sicily, I have found it incredibly helpful to have a friendly local team of people to speak to and to seek advice and help from.
When I first contacted VisitPalermo with some questions about finding an apartment in Palermo, I received a very quick reply from Francesca, and ever since then, it has been a real pleasure dealing with her. She is a proud ambassador for her land, and is obviously passionate about helping people who wish to visit Palermo and Sicily.
More recently I also dealt with Marta, who again has been fantastic in helping organise some experiences for us once we arrived in Palermo.
My main regret is that while we were in the city, we never managed to meet Fra or Marta face to face - everything they did for me was done via emails!
I can give a good example of how VisitPalermo give their customers an experience that would be impossible for somebody trying to arrange accommodation using automated websites like AirBNB, Booking.com etc. Francesca recommended an apartment in Terrasini for part of our 2016 trip. It looked fantastic and was a good value option. However, some time later, I received an apologetic email from Fra, telling me that a summer fair had set up very near our apartment, and that we were unlikely to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing week by the seaside as a result of this! We explored some options and found a nice alternative in Mondello. I thought this was really thoughtful and considerate - it would have been easy to leave the first booking without warning us, but VisitPalermo clearly have their customers' happiness at the heart of what they do.
I can't think of anything that VisitPalermo could do to improve my experience in dealing with them. They are fantastic!
Le terrazze di San Francesco - wow, what a stunning apartment. The photographs on the VisitPalermo site don't quite convey what a beautiful place to stay this is. The apartment is furnished and decorated with real taste. There are little touches all over the apartment which really make this feel like something special. The host Elizabeth is lovely and could not have been more helpful while we were staying here. There is a huge amount of space available - the bedrooms are a good size, and have a bathroom each (which I didn't realise when I originally booked the apartment - a nice surprise!). The kitchen is a good size, the lounge area is huge, there is an upstairs sitting area with television, and of course there are the two stunning terraces! And also a balcony area leading off the kitchen, great for drying clothes.
The location is also fantastic - really central, right in the heart of the city. There is a large supermarket nearby but also plenty of individual shops which are worth supporting. The Punto Pizzo Free shop around the corner is definitely worth a visit. And obviously there are loads of places to eat within walking distance - I strongly recommend Pizza Ferrari. The City Sightseeing bus stops nearby, which is a great way to see a lot of the city in a short space of time. The Vucciria market is 2 minutes' walk away, and it is also an easy walk to the Capo and
I honestly cannot think of any negative issues, and I would absolutely recommend this apartment for anybody wishing to stay in Palermo city. We were very sad to leave when the time came to move on.
The list of things to do and see in Sicily is endless!!
Highlights for us this time were:
- The bus trip to Monreale
- Watching Palermo FC play a home game - incredible atmosphere
- Eating fried seafood in La Vucciria, cooked in front of us
- A day trip to Cefalu - a beautiful place to visit
The was a great apartment. You could easily walk to a lot in Palermo and there was a great little bar street a half block down. The patio was amazing and the kitchen spacious. Elizabeth met us right on time and we had a wonderful time.
Trotz kurzfristiger Buchung alles super geklappt. Danke
Fantastic apartment with beautiful terraces and comfortable setting for resting after long days of walking around Palermo . Great position with lots of funky local bars , restaurants and boutiques. Would highly recommend this great apartment
You do a great job! Thank you for your reliable services. As a family with two little daughters (2, 3) we were very happy to have locals on site who guarantee the quality of the provided apartment.
Le terrazze di San Francesco were perfect for us as a family. It was our safe harbour and castle in the middle of Palermo (Kalsa) during 3 weeks. We could imagine to live there... :-)
Mille grazie!Saluti di Zurigo di Viktor e famiglia
Lovely apartment in the heart of old Palermo, handy for restaurants and with a supermarket minutes away, though the street markets are cheaper and more fun. Good air con, slowish Internet, but serviceable. Needs a basic manual, simple map showing local features, guide to how the kitchen appliances work, where to get the bus to the nearest beach - which is stunning and not to be missed. Do not contemplate hiring a car - Unless your suicidal.
What a wonderful place! It is even better than it looks in the photos, and turned out to be a wonderfully central location, close to the bars and restaurants of Palermo, as well as the main sights. Francesca and colleagues' organisation and hospitality were excellent, making it a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended. Thank you again!
Perfect location and great apartment with a lot of space. Amazing terraces for evenings. Located close to everything you need, nice restaurants, supermarket, cafes, museums etc. The apartment is more beautiful and bigger than the pictures show, we were surprised when we arrived.
Francesca was very helpful and answered kindly to all of our questions about Palermo and Sicily. She also recommended local places that ended up being our favorites spots in Palermo.
We loved the apartment and will definitely come back as soon as possible. Thank you Francesca!
VisitPalermo.it It's very useful! The apartment was absolutely great. A huge beautiful flat in a very convenient location!
We really appreciated your advices about Palermo. It was great to have some options that would suit out needs presented to us. Quick and friendly responses to our enquiries. We loved the apartment Le Terrazze di San Francesco. It's a fabulous location and beautifully presented. The owner was delightful and gave us some very useful information about the city. We felt very much at home in the city and the apartment helped us feel this way. So much more welcoming than a hotel!
We found the best thing to do was to roam all over the old part of the city on foot. This gave us the very best introduction to the city, and to Sicily. We enjoyed the food and wine immensely and we found it a wonderful challenge to choose places to eat!
Everything was just fine, thanks!
Our trip to Palermo was very enjoyable much due to the lovely accommodation and its always sweet and helpful host and hostess, Fabio and Elizabeth. Placed in the middle of the city center with restaurants and bars right around the corner, yet with two beautiful and calm terrazzes to retreat to in the afternoon. Most recommendable!
Kari, Mari and Live.
The beautiful Le Terrazze apartment is really a whole house!! And.. it is lovingly appointed with every comfort of home. In fact, this was the family's residence and they maintain it fully furnished form kitchen to linens.
The two terraces are as big as most rentals. Wake up in the morning to the bells in the nearby Piazza San Francesco, walk to any part of the historical center in minutes. On a charming street in a very safe building.. I give it a solid 10!
Making the right choice is key to a great visit. For me, the patient help & friendly communications from visitpalermo and their supportive team of Maurizio & Andrea assured a perfect fit.... they listened & took time to find my dream place. I will trust them for all future visits.
