Casa dei Lolli - Palermo (centre)

Located at the second floor with a balcony, Casa dei Lolli, a 60 sqm bright apartment in the centre of Palermo, is the perfect budget holiday home for families and group of friends. Our apartment has a living area with a dining table and two armchairs (one becomes a single bed) and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom comes with a double bed and a TV, whereas the second bedroom has twin beds. Finally, a balcony allow the light of Palermitan sun to enter and bright the house. Air conditioning, satellite tv and WI-FI connection make the flat the perfect location for travellers that want to visit the city, staying in a comfortbale accomodation. It is also a very good and practical solution for a quite long stay.

Casa dei Lolli is about 10 minutes by walk from the Politeama Theather, the Zisa Castle, the Capo traditional food market. Our apartment is located close by the Cantieri Culturali Zisa area, the heart of cultural events. Not far from the flat can be also found the main city theatres, Teatro Politeama and Teatro Massimo. The area is also very well connected with buses going towards the city centre and the outskirts of Palermo, in the direction of the popular Mondello Beach, where locals and tourists love to go and enjoy the sunshine. The location was quite nice, in a quite neighborhood, not too far from the inner city. The apartment was equipped with all the accessories you need to cook, sleep and shower. and then on top of it Maurizio was very helpful and talkative. i would for sure stay there again.

I stayed in this flat for nearly 2 months with two other friends of mine during the summer of 2012. We found it online emailed the owner. We were immediately emailed back with all the information we needed to make our decision. We had a million questions but the owners were EXTREMELY helpful, answering all of our questions and going out of their way to make sure we were well advised considering this was the first time any of us had been to Italy. The owners speak perfect English which was very helpful for us considering none of us spoke Italian. When we arrived, we took a bus from the airport that drops you off a few blocks from the flat (very convenient). We were met by the landlords and taken to the flat. The flat literally has everything you need for a long stay. We cooked for ourselves for two months and only had to purchase food. Spices, pots, pans, cleaning supplies, plates, cups, bed sheets, and plenty of towels were all provided for us. The flat was airconditioned which is almost essential for Palermo during summer. The flat was spotless and everything seemed brand new or recently renovated. The area was nicely lit at night and seemed very safe to me. There are 2 groceries stores about 2 blocks from the flat so getting groceries and walking home is no trouble. Also there are bus stops a block or two from the flat. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants on the same block as the apartment, and la champagneria (the social center of Palermo) is only a 15-20 min walk away. I could go on and on about the flat itself, but the best part of this flat is the ownership. The owners, continuously went out of their way to make sure we were well adjusted to being in Italy for the first time and helped us out a lot. They were by far the nicest and most friendly people I met during my two months in Palermo! They are honest and genuinely good-hearted people.
