Casa Panoramica Blu - Palermo (centre)

Casa Panoramica blu
Penthouse Apartment 2 - 3 persons

Casa Panoramica Blu (Bleu View) is the name of this wonderful penthouse flat placed at the last level of a palace, just behind the oldest, ancient and fashionable Palermo’s area called La Kalsa.

This quiet flat is really based in a strategical position because it is just in front of the Orto Botanico's main entrance and 5 minutes walking from the lively part of the Kalsa’s area (Piazza Marina, Piazza Magione, Via Alloro) and from the main Palermo station, main stop for buses and underground. Also next to the big urban park “Foro Italico” with its fabulous sea walking and green. Within only 15 minutes walking it is also possible to get Palermo’s port from where with every days’ leaving is easy to go and come back from the islands (like Ustica) even daily.

The area is rich of shops and little markets, typical restaurants and design bars.

The flat (50 mq + terrace) is elegant and fully furnished and the blu, the “sea colour” is prevalent in all the flat where the comfort is added to the wonderful view from the trendy little terrace just outside the kitchen, ideal place for unforgettable breakfasts and drinks also for the special setting of the sunset. The terrace is not only unique for his special sea view but also because it looks at the “Spasimo church”, symbol of the renovation of the historical centre of Palermo. The flat is reachable from one other bigger flowery terrace (elevator till level 7 + 1 more level steps)

“The apartment has the best views of Palermo from both terraces. From the sea to the cupolas of the churches, almost a 360 degree view. Beautiful! Perfect for soaking in the sun during the day and enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. Marco and Patrizia were very welcoming and thorough hosts. The apartment had everything we needed. Plus it was within walking distance to all of Palermo's sites. Francesca helped us get taxi transfers, both coming and going to the airport, which made it very easy.”

A very good and helpful source of information about Palermo. A very good and inspireing webside, with good pictures and a lot of useful information. I think you are improving all the time. We had a wonderful stay at Casa Panoramica Blu. The apartment is not very big, but had all we needed for a good stay, even a dishwasher. The view from the kitchen and the terrace was just wonderful, and as an extra bonus we were encouraged to use the owners big terrace, with a fantastic roof garden. The owners are very sympatic people, so it was fine to have them as neighbours too. The key to the entrance door to the building is a bit difficult to use, so we hope that can be fixed, until we return. We have been in Sicily many times, and Palermo is a favourite, with a lot of things to see and do. We also like the provinsens of Trapani and Ragusa. This time we stayed a week in Trapani and ten days in Palermo. We also Visited Madonie and Agrigento. We also liked the wine and food visit to Enoteca Kana with friends.

Impeccable.

We liked your prompt and accurate replies to my questions about the property and easy payment method for non-euro countries. It went very smoothly. One small error on the website about the Sunday Market in Piazza Marina is "every Saturday!" On your website it would be helpful for self-catering holidays if you had a map showing food stores, or at least a list we could search. Surprisingly there aren't that many in the City Centre. Casa Panoramica Blu is an excellent property. The views of the city and surrounding hills are indeed stunning and the view of the harbour adds extra interest to watch the ferries and cruise ships arrive and depart. It is also surprisingly quiet for a city centre location just a short walk from the main train station and old city. Not to be missed: Cefalu. Monreale and the Valley of the Temples are each superb places to visit. The train ride to Agrigento goes through beautiful scenery. The restaurant outside San Francesco church is excellent. On the downside, take plenty of insect repellants, wipes and creams.

The friendly and helpful approach of VisitingSicily staff made me feel confident and at ease with them. The fact that VisitingSicily is in Sicily also gave me confidence. I had difficulties to understand the meaning of the word "Deposit", why don't you call it "advance payment" ? The biggest improvement you can do is to provide holiday homes in more places! We found Siracusa a very nice place to stay in, so I think that more apartments there, would be a value. We liked our stay in Casa Panoramica Blu very much. The owner and his wife were very kind and helpful. The view is superb and the apartment is well planned and well equipped. We found a few things that could be improved that we mentioned to the owner because, after having stayed in two more apartments in Sicily in the same price level, we think that the two other showed proof of more commitment in the provision and functioning of details. A strange thing in Casa Panoramica Blu is that the front door to the street is almost impossible to open from the outside because the lock is worn. I realize of course that neither the owner nor VisitingSicily can do much about this. I love Syracuse and I think that was the best place to stay in. Climbing Etna on foot was the best experience but also climbing la Rocca of Cefalù was nice. We liked to walk in Zingaro National Park but did not find a way of getting there without a car.

I knew VisitPalermo from search engine. Francesca was incredibly good at her job and I felt very safe with her. Fast replies and a very very helpful. Casa panoramica blu was cosy and homely. We loved it there. The apartment is very well situated and had by far the best view in all of Palermo. I recommend to see The Capuchin catacombs that were fascinating. Arenella beach was beautiful. The restaurants close by were delicious. The deli on our street was fantastic for cakes and treats! We look forward to returning!

Ganz tolle Abwicklung mit euch. Wir können euch nur bestens empfehlen. Macht weiter so. Phantastische Aussicht vom Panoramica Blu. Und absolut gut gelegen. Nichts auszusetzen

I have known about thanks to some friends! What I really liked was the personalised, helpful and friendly service from Francesca. I had a very good experience with VisitPalermo so no suggestions for improvements. We spent a few very happy days in Panaramica Blu Apartment and found it excellent accommodation. It was comfortable and well equipped and the views were stunning. It was ideally situated - near to transport links, shops and restaurants. Sadly, we were not in Palermo for long enough to see and do everything but we enjoyed the Palatine Chapel and Royal Palace, street life and market. We also had an enjoyable day in Agrigenta.
